2 Months

it had been 2 months since i visited logan so i was due for a trip.
and i sadly took very few pictures

i was going to go up last week but was sick. luckily the next week i had the same days off so i planned it again and almost didn't make it up bc i got really sick again and had to leave work early. tuesday i felt a ton better and should have stayed home but then again i didn't want to be bored for my 2 days off. so i sucked it up. it happened to be free IHOP day so Sarah and I headed over to eat pancakes and catch up on tuesday night. i even got up early on Wedenesday bc my friend, Eric, invited me over for breakfast. it was a quick needed trip. i ran into a ton of people i wasn't even expecting to see and met up with tons of others. it was great to see so many familiar faces.

Surprise Trip

i've been sick these last few days. i was tough the first few days to stick it out at work but then it caught up to me so i had to call in sick for work on monday which is something i never i do. i felt awful about it but it had to be done. i luckily had the next 2 days off. on Tuesday i felt better enough to drive to my moms- i didn't want to sit around at my house by myself being bored. for the most part on Wednesday i felt pretty good. i still had some symptoms but i wanted to go play. i met up with Callie to head down to Pleasant Grove and Orem. we picked up Ava and then surprised my dad at work and then took him out for a quick lunch. after we stopped by to visit Jerry at work and then headed back to chat with Erin and hold baby Brennan. we left there to take Ava back to Grandma's for a sleepover. we went swimming that night and i didn't even get all the way under the water but some how i got water stuck in my ear. let me just say- that hurts!!! my mom had to go buy some drops that would help evaporate the water. we had to do several applications of drops and they took sometime to work. in the meantime it was no fun. i felt so much pressure in that ear and couldn't lay still. i got through it and don't wish that on anyone. besides that downfall it was a fun day to play!

heavy heart

my heart is extremely heavy tonight for my dear cousin, Jessie. her husband, Jamie, of 8 months passed away today when he was hit by a car while riding his motorcycle to work.

-i don't understand why these things happen-it makes me frustrated and confused. it breaks my heart. but i try to keep reminding myself that i at least know of this gospel- that families are forever and that we will see each other again.

• he's one big chubs weighing in at 10 lbs 4 oz
• by chance i got to see him 45 min after he was born. this is bc i jumped a ride with my mom to pick up Ava and on our way back to SLC my brother called saying, "the deed is done." they wanted Ava to meet her brother. and lucky me that i tagged a ride.
• when i told Ava that her baby brother was no longer in mommys tummy she froze and didn't know what to think.
• it was fun watching Ava with him. she says, "hes beautiful, so smart, and too heavy."
  
• i went down the next day and visited again with my dad
• he wasn't even a day old and he is already sporting the U
